Mothers Day Classic 2013

Hello lovely people

This year I am participating in the Mothers Day Classic.

All money raised at the event is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, which is also going to be where my donation for the year will be going.

Why? I have lost someone very close to my heart because of cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer for women to be diagnosed with, 1 in 8 women will have it during their lifetime and, although a lot less, 1 in 688 men will develop breast cancer. It is common, if the breast cancer goes undiagnosed for whatever reason, for the cancer to spread to other parts of the body. If left too long, it could be to late. 

It is for this reason I have chosen the National Breast Cancer Foundation. They are funding the researching for a cure and, better yet, prevention. This could save many lives.

Remember, $1 of any piece of metal jewellery that is stamped with the breast cancer ribbon is added to my donation total. 

And from now until Mothers Day, which is the 12th of May, 10% of any wooden craft purchase will also be added to my donation. 

So if you were planning on getting a stamped piece of jewellery, why not add a ribbon?
